A: Yes, as long as the other organization allows for you to publish that piece again.
Q: What if my piece gets accepted to another magazine/competition?
A: No worries, just shoot us an email and let us know. We will still publish the piece if it's accepted as long as the other magazine/competition allows for it.
Q: If I get published with The Zinnia Anthology, does it mean I can't submit the piece elsewhere?
A: TZA does not retain rights to works submitted. As an author, you will reserve all rights to your piece. We are only authorized to publish you on our website, social media pages, and any publication associated with the issue you are published in. You are free to submit to another magazine/competition as long as the other organization allows it.
Q: What is the usual turn around time?
A: We are a small magazine, so it can take up to 14 days. If you are not requesting feedback, we will likely get back to you within 2-4 days, but if you requested full feedback, it will likely take much longer. We try to treat your works with respect and give it our full attention so depending on the amount of pieces, it may take longer than expected. We apologize for any inconveniences.
Q: I submitted to a previous issue and was not accepted, can I submit it to the next issue?
A: Of course! We look forward to reading your piece again.
Q: How often does TZA publish?
A: We're a yearly publication. We spend a year curating the best pieces for our topic. Our submission cycle usually run from the summer to around late fall/early winter.
Q: I want to submit a piece but I'm not sure it fits the theme.
A: No worries, submit it anyways and we will decide as we read! Likely chances is that it'll qualify. If you are really worried, feel free to send us an email or a DM on Instagram!
