Resting on your
iridescent portrait
iridescent portrait
straying my fragility
step by step
knots tie in my head
and stomach
people caught the finish line,
they took my place
by your side,
my breath then abandoned me
before I got my dying chance.
My brittle bones
are not strong enough
to be my companion,
I fall like dandelions,
blown in the void of
the winds attraction
to my starvation.
You used your undying chance
to catch faithlessness
caught in the crossfire.
My look sealed
a nurturing gaze
as my skin turned gray.
You kissed
my forehead twice.
You kissed me in a way
that made fantasies cry.
